REMA Is Still Here
Share
I realized after my last email that I may have left some of you wondering about something I never intended to leave unclear.
REMA is still here.
When I wrote about the end of a chapter recently, I was talking about the changes happening with Sash and what that relationship has meant to me and to REMA over the years. It was emotional for me because that community became such a meaningful part of our story.
But I heard from a few of you who wondered if I was also saying goodbye to REMA.
I'm not.
That doesn't mean everything is staying the same, though.
I've been doing this for a long time, and if there's one thing owning a small business has taught me, it's that sometimes loving what you do isn't enough to keep doing it exactly the way you've always done it.
The world has changed. The way people shop has changed. The cost of making clothing has changed. And as a small brand that still chooses to make our clothing locally and in small batches, I've had to take a hard look at what works, what doesn't, and what needs to change.
So we're pivoting.
I'm trying new things. I'm rethinking old things. I'm figuring out how REMA can grow without losing the things that made me want to create it in the first place.
And truthfully? I don't have the entire roadmap figured out yet.
I think sometimes business owners feel like we're supposed to come to you only after we've figured everything out. We're supposed to announce the exciting new plan, show you the beautiful finished product, and make the journey there look effortless. If there is anything I've learned from Nicole, it's that showing up imperfectly and vulnarably is what makes a small business relatable.
So I'm in the middle of it.
I'm figuring it out as I go.
What I do know is that I still love designing clothes. I still get excited when an idea in my head becomes something you put on and love. I still believe women deserve clothing that feels comfortable, beautiful, and like themselves. And I still believe there's a place for what we're creating.
So as long as I can keep finding a way forward, I'm going to keep trying.
REMA may evolve. You may see us doing things differently. You may see new ways of shopping with us, different kinds of releases, collaborations, experiments, and probably a few things that don't work along the way.
That's okay.
Because maybe this chapter isn't about having everything figured out.
Maybe it's about being willing to change while holding onto the parts that matter.
And one of those parts is you.
Some of you have been here since the very beginning. Some found us through Sash. Some discovered us last week. You've worn REMA through vacations, workdays, pregnancies, weight changes, celebrations, difficult seasons, and ordinary Tuesdays. You've sent me photos, joined our Lives, told your friends about us, and come back year after year.
I don't take any of that for granted.
So I wanted you to hear this directly from me:
We're still here. We're still designing. We're still creating. And we're still trying.
I don't know exactly what the next chapter will look like yet.
But I'm excited to find out.
Thank you for continuing to be part of it.
With love,
Rema
